Summary
Steps to properly disable a user in Datapel WMS after they have been marked inactive in MYOB, ensuring they no longer appear in user or salesperson dropdowns.
✅ Expected Result
The employee is disabled in WMS without being deleted.
The user no longer appears in User Access Control.
The employee/salesperson is removed from selection dropdowns throughout the system.
Background
Previously, setting an employee card to inactive in MYOB would automatically reflect in WMS. This automation has been removed. Now, WMS users must manually manage visibility and access of inactive employees. Disabling the user and updating visibility options in WMS ensures proper user management while maintaining historical data integrity.
Set Employee to Inactive in MYOB:
Log in to your MYOB account.
Navigate to the employee card and mark the employee as Inactive.
Update Privilege Level in WMS:
Go to Options > User Management.
Find and select the employee in question.
Change their Privilege Level to Disabled.
⚠️ Note: The user will still appear in User Access Control at this stage.
Update User Email Address (Optional but Recommended):
Assign a simplified or unique email address (e.g. archived_user@datapel.local) to the user.
Hide the Account from User Lists:
Enable the "Hide account from Users List" option.
✅ Once enabled, the employee will no longer appear under:
User Access Control
Salesperson dropdown menus
