WAAS running on a scheduled task. This document explains how to setup scheduled tasks.

Detail Steps

To setup a task, please follow below steps:

  1. Create a new scheduled task

  2. Go to General Tab

  3. Enter name

  4. Select ''Run whether user logged on or not.''

  5. select ''Run with highest privileges."

  6. Go to Triggers Tab

  7. Select New

  8. Select Task running time and day

  9. Select repeat time

  10. Select Enable

  11. Select OK

  12. Go to Actions tab

  13. Select New

  14. select Action ''Start a program."

  15. Browse and select "C:\Program Files (x86)\Datapel Systems\Warehouse Management System\WMS.exe."

  16. Add argument "/RunAsService"

  17. Start in select "C:\Program Files (x86)\Datapel Systems\Warehouse Management System."

  18. Select OK


  19. Go to Conditions Tab

  20. Select below settings

  21. Go to Settings Tab

  22. Select "Allow task to be run on-demand."

  23. Select "If the running task does not end when requested, force it to stop."

  24. Select OK to save the Task


Create one more task to STOP the service

  1. Create a new scheduled task

  2. Go to General Tab

  3. Enter name

  4. Select ''Run whether user logged on or not.''

  5. select ''Run with highest privileges."

  6. Go to Triggers Tab

  7. Select New

  8. Select Task running time and day

  9. Select "Stop task if runs longer than 30min."

  10. Select Enable

  11. Select OK

  12. Go to the Actions tab

    1. Select New

    2. select Action ''Start a program."

    3. Browse and select "C:\Program Files (x86)\Datapel Systems\Warehouse Management System\Stop_WMS_Service.bat."

    4. Start in select "C:\Program Files (x86)\Datapel Systems\Warehouse Management System."

    5. Select OK

  13. Go to Conditions Tab

  14. Select below settings

  15. Go to Settings Tab

  16. Select "If the running task does not end when requested, force it to stop."

  17. Select OK to save the Task
