This document instructs how to setup WMS PTP.

Detail Steps  

Export registry key and copy setting files from the server

 

1)      Start > Run >type Regedit

2)      Once registry opens go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6424Node\Datapel Systems   then right click > Export > Save

3)      Go to WMS software installation folder

For 64 bit:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Datapel Systems\Warehouse Management System

Copy below setting files

Prefs.xml

Workspace.xml

Labels.xml

Layout.xml

 

Open the Workspace.xml

Folders in below tags must be shared between all users and update new share paths.


New workspace installation

1)      Download WMS installer

http://download.datapel.com/downloads/nfr-wmsinstall.exe

2)      Run the installer

3)      Then go to WMS software installation folder

For 64 bit:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Datapel Systems\Warehouse Management System

4)      Double click on InitialiseRegistry64bit for 64 bit (for 32 bit InitialiseRegistry)> click yes to confirm and add registry key

5)      Copy and paste Prefs.xml/Workspace.xml/Labels.xml/Layout.xml to installation folder, override existing file when you are asked.

6)       Double click registry export file and click yes to confirm and add registry key


Download and install Native client depend on you SQL version running on the server

Download Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility Components

Double click WMS Icon and send registration key to support@datapel.con to provide activation key.

 

Link MYOB file.

 

Make sure MYOB file also located in a share drive on the server

Login to WMS as superuser

Go to Tools > Connect > Configuration

 

Un-tick Use ODBC Data Source

Update shared MYOB file path

Put 4106826 as Myob license key

Update odbc login detail to myob

Troubleshooting checklist:

· SQL native client on workspace is required
· Workstation user should be logging in via domain user
· Check Subscriptions in registry - this was missing
· Firewall for port 1433 / default port or specific port setup for SQL
· SQL Browser and other settings in the config.
· Norton security and SQL
· UAC should be off - its on
· Workspaces default paths should not use mapped drives, if mapped drives are used in P2P environment the same mapping must be applied to the server. (issue Found)
 · SQL native client on workspace is required
