This article explains how to set up Google Authentication as part of Two Factor Authentication for the WMS Cloud Environment.
Two Factor Authentication is Highly recommended to secure your data.
We can provide the Superuser google auth setup key verbally and/or add the main superusers phone number for Authentication.
Download the Google Authentication Application on your device (Our recommended option is google chrome authenticate add-in - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/authenticator/bhghoamapcdpbohphigoooaddinpkbai).
This puts an icon on your Chrome toolbar that gives you the latest code when clicked on.
Add the code to your application to receive a new key every 30 seconds.
We can disable Email authentication codes. It is recommended to set up Google Authentication for all users then contact us to turn off email authentication or set up an auto-email filing rule for these emails.
My Google Authenticator codes don’t work.
If all the above steps were set correctly but the code generated was denied, please follow the below steps that commonly fixes the issue.
It may be because the time isn’t correctly synced on your Google Authenticator app.
To set the correct time:
On your Android device, go to the main menu of the Google Authenticator app.
Tap More ➡ Settings ➡ Time correction for codes ➡ Sync now.
On the next screen, the app confirms the time has been synced. After that, you should be able to sign in.
The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.
