Freight Adapter Setup

Description

The following article describes how to set up the freight adapter module.

This module requires the assistance of a Datapel Support member and also the Freight provider for setup.

Detail Steps

Configuration

  • Go to Tools > E-Business > carrier adapters.

  • Select Settings tab.

  • Select the Freight method for this integration.

  • Account ID: Your account ID is provided by your Freight Provider.

  • Account Number: Your account Number is provided by your Freight Provider.

  • Outgoing Folder: The folder the WMS will export the files for import into your freight software (your freight provider will advise the folder).

  • Response Folder: The folder we can collect the response files for updating your invoice with your freight companies allocated connote number/tracking details.

  • Archive Folder: Where the response files are stored after they are processed.

  • Configure User: The user you would like to set the printer information for, if you select *all users this applies to any user unless the user has their own configuration.

  • Zone: Printer to use on your freight software, for the user selected in "Configure User".

  • Enable Auto Consignment Export: Auto export of File for import into your freight software (WaaS must be running).

  • Poll Response Folder and Import: Will try to get response from Response folder to update WMS with Consignment Number.

  • Timeout: Amount of time before giving up on collecting Response file (will collect and update if available on next article despatch.)



Setting up the services and predefined box sizes

Adding a new Service CodeSelect Freight method
Enter SVC Code as advised by your freight provider
Enter your personalised description
Select Add


Editing a Service Code
Select Freight method
Click on SVC Code
Select Edit
Change details
Select "Add"

Deleting a Service Code
Select Freight method
Click on SVC Code
Select "Delete"

Setting a Default Service Code
This code will be selected as default for this freight method.
Select Freight method
Click "Default"

Adding a new UNIT codeSelect Freight method
Select a service
Enter Unit Code (example "BAG")
Enter your personalised description
Select Add

Editing a UNIT code
Select Freight method
Click on SVC Code
Click on Unit Code
Select Edit
Change details
Select "Add"

Deleting a UNIT code
Select Freight method
Click on SVC Code
Click on UNIT Code
Select "Delete"

Setting a Default UNIT code
This code will be selected as default for this Service Code.
Select Freight method
Click "Default"
Select another SVC code and Repeat.
