Transferring goods through mobility

Description

Mobility transfer will create a closed Transfer Order within the WMS “Despatch Registers” for the Location in which the goods will be transferred FROM (Source Location) and To (Destination Location).

While creating an open Transfer Order in the WMS “Transfer Register”, the goods will be transferred To (Destination Location) via Mobility Transfer.

Workflow options

The shipping warehouse may need to complete the transfer within the respective registers or the Mobility Despatch Menus. This will influence your workflows and preference settings.

Detail Steps

Step 1: Turn on the Mobility and from the Mobility Home, select option “Transfer”.

Step 2: Press the Start Transfer button to create a new transfer.

  • Press Main Menu to cancel and return to Mobility Home.

Step 3: Select a Source Location to Transfer Stock From.

  • Press options 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 to select From Location.

  • Press the Next button to view other locations.

  • Press the Exit button to cancel and return to Step 2.

Step 4: Select a Destination Location to Transfer Stock To.

  • Press options 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 to select To Location.

  • Press the Next button to view other locations.

  • Press the Exit button to cancel and return to Step 2.

Step 5: Scan or enter Source bin barcode to transfer stock From.

  • If it is a scan bin barcode, then it automatically goes to Step 6.

  • After entering the bin barcode, press the Continue button to proceed > Go to Step 6.

  • Press the Back button to cancel and return to Step 2.

Step 6: Scan or enter item barcode.

  • If you scan the item barcode, it automatically goes to Step 7.

  • After entering the item barcode then press the Continue button to proceed > Go to Step 7.

  • If you enter Question Mark (?), it will show Helpful Hints > Go to Step 15.

  • Press the Exit button to cancel and return to the transfer menu > Return to Step 2.

Step 7: Scan or enter batch/serial number

  • If you scan the batch/serial number, then it automatically goes to Step 8.

  • After entering batch/serial number then press the Continue button to proceed > Go to Step 8.

  • Press the Back button to cancel and return to Step 2.

Step 8: Confirm the displayed item quantity.

  • Press the Yes button to confirm quantity > Go to Step 10.

  • Press the No button to edit the quantity > Go to Step 9.

    Step 9: Scan or Enter the item barcode to confirm the transfer quantity.

  • Upon scanning or entering the item barcode, the Scan Qty value will increase.

  • Press the Continue button to confirm the new quantity – Return to Step 8.

    For example, you cannot enter in a new quantity on the keypad.

  • Press the Back button to cancel editing the quantity – Return to Step 8.

  • Press the Hint button to show barcode short-cut codes – Go to Step 14.

Workflow restrictions

If the Scan Count setting is turned on, quantity can only be altered by scanning each item transferred.

Step 10: Reconfirm the displayed item quantity.

  • Press the Yes button to confirm quantity – Go to Step 11.

  • Press the No button to re-edit the quantity – Return to Step 9.

Step 11: Scan or Enter the Destination bin barcode > Go to Step 13.

  • If it is a can bin barcode, then it automatically goes to Step 13.

  • After entering the bin barcode then press the Continue button to proceed > Go to Step 13.

  • Press the Use Putaway Bin button to indicate that transferred stock to the default Putaway bin without scan/enter bin code.

  • Press Back button to cancel transfer > Return to Step 2.

Step 12: Processing order.

  • This indicates that the transfer order is processed and automated to Step 13.


Step 13: Transfer Order Complete.

  • Press the Continue button and return to Step 6.


Step 14: Helpful Hints.

  • Press the Back button to cancel, and it returns to Step 9.


Step 15: Helpful Hints.

  • Press the Back button to cancel and return to Step 6.

Multiple lines transfer Workflow

Velocity allows users to transfer multiple line items.

The workflow is the same as above from Step 1 to Step 13.

Step 16: Reconfirm the line transfer. This screen comes after scanning the Putaway bin from Step 11.

  • Press the Yes button to confirm line transfer > Go to Step 17.

  • Press the No button to cancel, and it returns to Step 6.

    Step 17: Add item lines to transfer or complete transfer.

  • Press the More button to add item lines and return to Step 6.

Press the Done button to complete the transfer and return to Step 12 and 13.

System prompt alert if the scan is incorrect/invalid bin code.
