Detail Steps
Accessing the Item UDF import.
Go to Workspace > Import > User Defined Fields.
2. Export Item UDF.
The export feature is accessed within the Import UDF screen.
Click on the Export button to export the Item UDF List.
The exported item CSV file is copied to the clipboard and can be copied to any location.
Below is a sample CSV file showing the first 1-24 UDF fields
3. Next are the CustomFields and CustomLists fields.
Workflow Restrictions CustomFields precedes CustomLists fields, and the order should NOT be changed. |
4. Allowed Field Columns
Only 1, 24 or 30 column fields are allowed to exist in the import CSV file.
An error prompt shows if the number of field columns is NOT either 1, 24 or 30.
For example, if the file contains 25 UDF columns, the error message below will appear when importing the file.
One Column Update
A single column can be updated by replacing the column name to be one of UDF(1-24), CUSTOMFIELD(1-3), CUSTOMLIST(1-3).
Workflow Restrictions All field headers should be in uppercase. |
Example 1: CUSTOMLIST1 (50999 New List 1)
Example 2: UDF1 (UDF1)
5. 24 Columns Update (UDF 1-24)
The 24 columns are reserved mainly for UDF1-24 fields ONLY. Therefore, ensure that only UDF1-24 exist in the CSV file when importing UDF fields.
Example 1: UDF 1-24 columns exist, but ONLY UDF 1-3 to be updated
30 Columns Update (UDF 1-24, CUSTOMFILED1-3, CUSTOMLIST1-3)
Example 1: CUSTOMFIELD 1-3 and CUSTOMLIST 1-3

βImportant Notes
If a CUSTOMLIST does NOT exist, it will be created as a NEW list.
CUSTOMFIELD do NOT exhibit this behaviour.
Example: CustomList T233, when imported, does NOT exist and is created as a NEW list and gets added to the drop-down list shown below.
